COME VISIT US AT 307!!
It’s been confirmed for a while now that Grace and I will be at table 307 at Fanime 2013’s Artist Alley. Hogan, our helper, will also be around. :D Artist Alley will be held in South Hall. This is a detailed map and guide to ease your travel to the South Hall <3
WELL, Artist Alley has AT LEAST 350 artists with amazing art for you to throw money at. I say at least because there are 348 tables and each table has a possibility of having 2 artists at them. SO, ff you’re going to be in the South Hall, you might as well stay a while and burn holes in your pocket. There are a few artist lists going around complied by various sources—these are the ones I’ve happened upon the links to, courtesy of stalking the Fanime Artist Alley Facebook group:
Here are the hours that Artist Alley is open:
Friday: 2pm to 8pm
Saturday: 10:30am to 7pm
Sunday: 10:30am to 7pm
Monday: 10:30am to 3pm
Words cannot express how much I adore this map edit.
Anyway, don’t really have much to add onto this post, since I think Ashley covered most of it. The basics: Fanime AA will be located at SOUTH HALL; we’ll be tabling at Table 307, as highlighted in this lovely map.
I’ll do a post in a couple days about stock. :)
So today Angelina Jolie had double mastectomy, which is the removal of one’s breasts, to prevent Breast cancer. So instead of praising Angelina on her bravery, men on Twitter decided to ridicule her, even calling her stupid for removing her breasts.
For those of you on Tumblr that are attacking Feminists about being delusional about sexism against women and misogyny here’s your fucking proof that sexism and misogyny exists.
This is distressing and awful to see this..
She had an 87% chance of getting breast cancer, which killed her mother at 56. ARE YOU SERIOUS WITH THESE REACTIONS?
My 3rd grader little angel gave me this yesterday on my last tutoring session. It was a wonderful experience being able to be a helpful hand for a student, and I definitely learned a lot from it as well. This letter really makes me smile more than I can even imagine, and I hope to be a tutor again next year. ;u; I hid her name for privacy reasons and also due to contract.
The girl wrote this on Facebook: ”I went to the beach the other day, for the first time since I was a child, I didn’t wear shorts or anything to cover up, this is a massive deal for me, I hate my body even without the scars, I believe I am fat and disgusting but, I pushed through the major anxiety, shaking and almost crying and made it to the water. Its a big deal, I did it.
This took a whole fucking lot of courage to post..”
And now this dickhead comments this. I can’t, i really can’t Facebook.
See this is what is wrong with humanity. This girl is mentally injured, But she takes a step towards better times. She tries to get back. She even go to the beach, only wearing a minimalistic piece of clothe. She convinces her biggest fear, the fear of people laughing at her. And she’s even more brave. Afterwords she posts this remarkable photo on Facebook. It maybe took her minutes to post this. Sitting there by her computer, with her finger on the mouse. Should she press ”Upload” or not?”
And she did it. She was brave enough to do it.
And then this is what she gets. A hate comment. And there was of course more comments than that. And if that isn’t enough, that comment up there, got 5 likes. 5 LIKES. People agree with that terrible person?
My faith in humanity is almost gone now. I want to show this girl, that i’m with her. I’m a supporter.
